The Fall 2006 enrollment of 9,733 includes 7,569 undergraduate students and 2,164 graduate students. Among the new students are 1,527 freshmen, 672 undergraduate transfer students, and 701 graduate students. Fifty-two percent of the students are females. Approximately 8.2 percent are from racial or ethnic minority groups. Ninety-seven percent are United States citizens, representing 43 states, while 268 are resident or nonresident aliens representing 60 foreign countries.
